بشرى لمرضى فيروس "سى" فى العالم على موعد مع أخبار سارة خلال العامين القادمين عندما يتم تداول عقار يقضى على مرضهم بنسبة ١٠٠٪، كما يسقط عرش عقار "الانترفيرون"، الذى تربع عليه سنوات عدة بمفرده فى علاجه. العقار الجديد الذي أطلق عليه اسم "سوفوسبوفير" مازال فى المرحلة الثالثة من التجارب فى أمريكا، وبريطانيا، ومن المتوقع إطلاقه لعلاج المرضى خلال العامين المقبلين. وأوضح الدكتور وحيد دوس، رئيس معهد الكبد ورئيس البرنامج القومى لمكافحة الفيروسات الكبدية، أنه خلال فترة قريبة سوف يبدأ فى مصر التجارب البحثية للعقار الجديد للتأكد من نجاحه فى القضاء على فيروس "سى" من النوع الرابع المنتشر فى مصر، وذلك بعد الحصول على الموافقات البحثية المتعارف عليها عالميا، لافتًا إلى أنه سيجرى عليه الأبحاث في أكثر من جامعة مصرية. وأشار وحيد إلى أن نتائج الدراسات والأبحاث التى أجريت على العقار الجديد والتى عرضت فى المؤتمرات الدولية تؤكد أن فترة الشفاء من الفيروس باستخدام العقار الجديد بدون الانترفيرون تتراوح ما بين ٣ إلى ٦ شهور عن طريق حبوب بالفم وليس له آثار ...
